~Carnival of Genealogy~
Are you familiar with Blog Carnivals? In case you're not, a Blog Carnival is what happens when someone takes the time to put together a collection of good blog posts on a given topic in one blog article. In this case, the carnival's general theme is genealogy and only articles related to genealogy are included in the Carnival of Genealogy (COG). Each edition includes a call for submissions and an announcement of the topic for the next edition.
From the BlogCarnival.com web site: "We think blog carnivals are a great way for bloggers to recognize each other's efforts, organize blog posts around important topics, and improve the overall level of conversation in the blogosphere. Carnivals come in edited "editions", just like magazines or journals. The fact that carnivals are edited (and usually annotated) collections of links lets them serve as "magazines" within the blogosphere, and carnival hosts can earn their readership by providing high quality collections. "
The Carnival of Genealogy has it's roots on the Creative Gene Blog but it has been guest hosted on other blogs as well. Editions are posted twice a month with article submission deadlines of the 1st and 15th of each month. If you have a blog with genealogy related topics, please consider submitting articles for the carnival!
