(Over 7,000 people said to be buried in this cemetery which served the Eloise Complex of buildings which at various different times referred to the Wayne County Poor House, the Wayne County Sanatorium (serving tuberculosis patients), the Wayne County Asylum (serving the mentally ill indigent population), and Eloise Hospital.)

ECORSE CEMETERY. ST. FRANCIS XAVIER ECORSE. MI - $7.00/$8.00 - Earliest date of burial is 1848. Approximately 2,500 burials, but in 1979 only 600 stones remained. These were transcribed. 35 pages with an index.
