While Mt. Elliott cemetery isn't as large as some of the other cemeteries where Polish Catholics were buried in Detroit it is one of the oldest cemeteries and if you're looking for the grave of someone who died before the 3 larger cemeteries opened (Mt. Olivet 1886, Forest Lawn 1888, Sacred Heart 1889) this is the place to look.
Jim Tye (local genealogy researcher extrordinaire) has gone through the Mt. Elliott records and has created an alphabetical listing of over 5500 Poles, people buried not only from St. Albertus, but also burials from St. Casimir, St. Francis d'Assisi, and St. Josaphat. This index covers the years 1865 through 1895. He will gladly search a few names for interested parties. You can contact Jim Tye at kurpie21@hotmail.com.
Mt. Elliott was microfilmed by LDS in 1998. Film numbers:

Forest Lawn has a separate section for Polish National Catholic Church burials. It is a very large multi-denominational cemetery.

This is a very large cemetery with over 80,000 graves. If you're looking for the gaves of anyone buried from St. Albertus, St. Josaphat, St. Stanislaus or St. Hyacynth, I would suggest you look here first (unless you know they died before 1886).
